Yes, there is still time to get in on the fun! So, if you think you missed out by missing the deadine, you can still get in for this event. This is one of the truly memorable nights of the Scouting year.
Scout Night with the Lowell Spinners!

Pack 194 Cub Scouts and families are invited to our annual baseball outing and campout at Lowell’s LeLacheur Park on Saturday, July 9th.

Campers will enjoy an evening of minor-league baseball in a family-friendly setting. Following the Spinners’ certain victory, we will pitch tents in the outfield, enjoy a game of catch, and then retire at the area’s only “camp-in movie theater” to watch Star Wars on the big screen.
Pack 194 has reserved a limited number of tickets for Cubs and their families. Tickets are $33 per person, and include:
* A seat behind home plate to watch our Lowell Spinners—Short-Season Class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox—take on the Connecticut Tigers of the Detroit Tigers farm system (first pitch @ 5:05pm)

Pack 194 Cookout!
Sunday June 5th, Lane School, 12-3 pm (rain or shine)
All boys starting grades 1-5 in the fall and their families are invited to our informative, fun, and FREE cookout and games day. There will be Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and adult leaders there to answer any questions that you may have about what the Scouting program can do for your boy.
There is NO OBLIGATION to join or re-register by attending this event, but a discount will be offered on registrations for the program starting in September if you choose to sign up at this event.
Current Scouts can come and take part in the free food and games. New boys can come see some of the fun Scouts have, and participate in all of the activities planned for the day. No need to bring food or drinks as the Pack 194 grill master will take care of the cooking.
If your boys is friends with a boy of Scouting age, please feel free to invite them to this event.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Monday, May 30th Memorial Day Parade
10:45 -10:55 AM Bedford High School
Scouts are welcome to start here; the memorial is right across the road from the playground, at the junction of the high school and library. After the ceremony, we’ll need to jog over to the town commons to join the main crowd.
11:00 AM Parade Step off time.
From the town commons, we will organize the flag-bearers, grouping, and so forth. The scouts will be coached on why we’re doing this and how to behave. When appropriate, we will quietly slip into the main parade line heading down Great Road, right after the BHS marching band.
Some points to remember:
This is a somber event; no candy etc.
Class A uniforms; as perfect as they can muster, shirts tucked in, shoes tied, caps, neckerchiefs with clasp.
A bottle of water and sunscreen application is a good idea.
Kids need not stay for the entire duration, as they tend to get fidgety; we’ll find a mutually agreeable departure time, and respectfully, and silently disperse.
If the weather is bad, it will still be held, but at the high-school
This is an important event for Scouts as citizenship and community are part of the core of the program. Since it is important, but not one of the flashy, fun Scouting events, boys who participate will get extra raffle tickets at the June cookout event (details forthcoming)
Starting at 7:00 PM, join us for a campfire on the Brown property off Turf Meadow Drive. This will be a fun-filled family event. Come one, come all! Key things to bring are bug spray, a flashlight, (it will be surprisingly dark when the campfire is over), and a chair for best comfort during the event
The campfire ring is a 3-5 minute walk down a path from parking, so please plan accordingly to get to the event on time. We suggest being in place by 6:50pm. We realize that some boys may have sports, etc…While we promote the wearing of our uniforms… please feel free to come right from any event, even if running late, or if your boy doesn’t have time too change into their Scout uniform.. we want as many that can to attend! We will be doing skits and toasting S’mores, so come enjoy the evening.
We will not be doing a sleepover event as we did with the October campfire. The campfire will be the event for the evening.
Beautify Bedford
On Saturday, May 7th, we will be holding our annual event to help clean up Bedford. To participate in the event you need to:
Show up at the Bedford DPW lot (left of the DPW building across from Stop and Shop) any time between 9am and 2pm. Individual scouts (with parents) or groups welcomed. You will see our canopy set up in the parking lot.
You will be assigned an area in Bedford to clean up. Length of participation is entirely up to you. It’s good to plan on 1/2 hour to an hour of clean up depending on how many people are in your group.
There will be some work gloves available but if you have your own please do bring them. Trash bags will be provided. Please come prepared with bug spray and sun screen as needed.
Class B uniforms (Pack 194 T-shirts) and hats are recommended. This is our chance to show the community that the scouts are giving something back to the community that supports them year after year.
When you are done with your area, you can return to the DPW lot and leave trash bags at the dumpster there. If you see any large items that are too big to put in the bag or fit in your vehicle, note the location and that information will be passed on to the DPW for pick up later in the week.
Your Den Leader should be communicating with you shortly regarding this event. Some dens may choose to do this as a grouped den activity.
Since community service projects are an important part of Scouting, boys participating in this event will earn extra raffle tickets for our year end picnic event in June.

Tonight is the April Pack Meeting. It will be at 7pm at JGMS. We hope to see you there. Now that the Spring sports season has started, we realize that folks have other commitments competing for their time. We encourage folks to attend even if they need to arrive late and/or not in uniform because they are coming from another activity.
The 3rd Annual Pack 194 Raingutter Regatta boat kit race event will be held on Monday, April 11th starting at 6:45pm (please note the earlier than standard Pack meeting time).
Please note that we need to know who is planning on coming in order to create the race heats in advance. Please contact your den leader before the end of the day on Sunday, April 10th if your boy(s) are planning to participate.
Please do not modify the boat kit or add anything non-decorative to it.
Due to the Town Meeting tonight at 7:30, Pack 194 will shorten the Pack Meeting to allow folks to attend. The Pack Meeting will start as usual at 7pm, but we will try to conclude by 7:25. There are some announcements of upcoming events and some youth recognitions tonight, so we hope that you can join us.
Since learning about citizenship is an important part of the Scouting program, we encourage folks to head over to the Town Meeting afterwards with your boy(s) to show them first-hand a little of how government works on the local level.
This year Pack 194 is piloting a new fund raiser by having a kids stuff rummage sale on April 9th. You should have already heard about this from your den leader, but all of the details are now on the Pack 194 website at the URL: http://pack194.net/kid-stuff-sale/
We are looking for volunteers to assist with bringing items over on the afternoon/evening of April 8th as well as staffing the event on the 9th. Please contact Kate Reynolds at: kwinterfield[AT}hotmail.com if you have stuff to donate or can assist with the event.
